When are things in life ever free? RIGHT NOW!!!

Self & Thing (I/Thou, I/It) addresses performing with
objects as stand-in for self or other and explores the
interface between inner experience and outer expression.
Elements of somatic, contemplative and vocal practices will
be included to support speaking, dreaming, composing and
performing with Things.
Issues of representation, transformation, projection,
transgression, theatrical conventions and ‘the real’ will be
addressed.
Objects including fake food, male and female figures,
words, inanimate animals, objects from or representing the
natural world, and other little things will be provided to
lubricate access to the creative unconscious. Participants are
asked to bring one small, energy-saturated object of their
own.
This free workshop, taught by Leeny Sack, will be presented
September 24 and 25 at 1:00pm-4:30pm in the Loft Theatre.
