SWASHBUCKLING 101

Come “sling some steel” in a stage combat class this summer hosted by the Colorado Shakespeare Festival’s Education department. Geoffrey Kent, CSF Fight Director & Actor, is offering a four week intensive on sword fighting for the stage. A thirty hour course, this class focuses on hollywood swashbuckling, a style of swordplay popularized by Errol Flynn and other greats of the silver screen and prevalent in countless theatrical productions including Three Musketeers, Cyrano, I Hate Hamlet and Moon Over Buffalo (to name a few).
Normally a $300-500 class in Denver, Chicago, or NYC. CSF Education is offering this course to CSF employees and CU Onstage members for only $150 plus the optional $35 SAFD test fee. All equipment provided. Actors, technicians, directors, etc. are all welcome to enroll this fast paced and slightly ridiculous class.
